Ihr Album "2in 3" von 1967 habe ich im Alter von 8 Jahren erstmals auf dem Spieler meiner Mutter gehört. Sofort war ich von Klarheit und Ausdruckskraft Ihrer Stimme fasziniert. Daran hat sich bis heute nichts geändert (und in knapp einem halben Jahrhundert können sich musikalische Vorlieben ja durchaus wandeln).Titel wie "Hora", "Deserteur" und "morning of my life" haben mich schnell in ihren Bann gezogen (die Texte musste mir damals meine Mutter noch übersetzen). Nie aber habe ich eine so mit Gefühl, Leben und treffendem Ausdruck erfüllte Interpretation der Ballade der Seeräuber-Jenny von Weil gehört. Ich bin froh, dass ich noch die Vinyl-Aufnahme besitze.

Further to my previous email, may I add a suggestion which I cannot do on the Forum?
I watched your clip of you, Tom Jones & Cher from 1969 as well. It would be an outstanding occasion if you and Tom could duet with "Morning of my Life" on British TV, especially as he will be on "The Voice" again soon. That clip from his show and your one of 1971 could be used as an introduction. That would be a tribute to two outstanding and enduring talents whose paths have not crossed for some years(?).
Could you let me know if this might seem a good idea and be possible?
The emotion would affect an ovation, I'm sure!

I've caught back up with you on Youtube after some period of time. I bought one of your LP's back in the early 70's and on watching a recording of you from 1971 singing "Morning of my life" a couple of days ago brought tears welling to my eyes again. Such a stunning lady with a beautiful, lilting voice...I was bowled over. It really does affect me. Thank you!

8:48am 08-02-2016 Peter: Liebe Esther. Habe durch Zufall das "Strandvideo" von Morning of my life in Netz entdeckt. Ich war 17 als ich es zum ersten Mal hörte. Als ich es heute gehört und gesehen habe, liefen mir die Tränen runter, nicht nur wegen des Liedes, auch wegen einer zauberhaften Esther. Und das als eingefleischter Rockmusiker.
